Description: The Fiat 508 Balilla is a vehicle produced by FIAT in the 1930s, which marked the beginning of mass motorization in Italy. The Balilla was produced at the Lingotto plants in Turin and was sold in many different configurations: saloon, spider, torpedo, colonial, sport spider, and Mille Miglia berlinetta. It also proved to be a success for many coachbuilders who utilized its chassis, most notably Garavini, Savio, Balbo, Bertone, Casaro, and Ghia. In 1939, Fioravante Zanussi prepared the Fiat 508 Sport for Alberto Comirato of Treviso, who went on to win the Italian Category Championship. This particular example is in pristine condition, having undergone a total restoration in 2019 by a coachbuilder passionate about the model; since then, it has only been used for very short Sunday drives. Available for sale.
