Description: The Land Rover Defender Td5, produced from 1998 to 2006, represents a significant evolution of the legendary off-roader, introducing the 2.5L (2495cc) 5-cylinder turbodiesel engine to comply with Euro III regulations, replacing the previous Tdi. This engine, which produced 122 HP, brought electronic fuel injection and made the Td5 an icon, while maintaining the robustness and essential mechanics (ladder frame chassis, rigid axles) that have always distinguished it, becoming a versatile vehicle for work, adventure and civilian use, appreciated for its reliability and off-road capability, although it requires specific attention due to its “old school” origins.
The Td5 is considered by many to be the last true Defender, a legend that continues to live on thanks to the passion of enthusiasts, despite production being discontinued to make way for more modern and technologically advanced models. These two examples we are offering are practically “twins” and belonged to the Civil Protection service of a municipality in Tuscany. Decommissioned due to fleet renewal, they were purchased by us for their particularly rare excellent state of preservation, total absence of rust and very low fully certified mileage. Furthermore, among the first Td5s produced. Two rare gems.
