Description: The Alfetta GT 1800 was designed by Giugiaro and introduced in 1973. The first 1800 model is recognizable by the model name at the top right of the boot lid and the fuel filler cap on the rear left. With the introduction of the Alfetta (Berlina) in 1972, Alfa Romeo introduced the new “transaxle” gearbox mounted on the rear axle, which allowed for an almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution. The Alfetta also features fully independent suspension, an aluminum engine block with twin camshafts, disc brakes all round, and a five-speed gearbox. A very sporting package! The odometer currently reads 12,238 km. This Alfetta GT is in excellent condition and the car drives perfectly! The bodywork is completely rust-free and was refinished several years ago, fully in the original color. All original spot welds are still visible. The interior is in perfect condition, as are the beautiful Alfa Speedline alloy wheels. Between 1973 and 1976, a total of 21,947 examples of the GT 1800 were produced, and today the GT 1800 is a rarity. This splendid example is a fantastic find for Alfa Romeo enthusiasts.
