Description: The Bianchina Trasformabile is the first, elegant version of the Autobianchi Bianchina, launched in 1957, conceived as “compact luxury” based on the Fiat 500 mechanics, but with a more refined design, convertible top and sophisticated details, aimed at those seeking a distinctive automobile for the Italian economic boom, and produced until 1962 before being joined by other more modern versions. Designed by Luigi Rapi, it was a more refined version of the Fiat 500, with its simple yet reliable mechanics, but with carefully crafted aesthetics, chrome details and two-tone interior. It achieved great success, especially among female buyers, as a second car for affluent families.
This example we are offering was first registered on March 7, 1958. Very rare and sought-after vehicle. Acquired by us at the end of 2022, it underwent a complete and professional restoration lasting more than a year and a half and completed in April 2024. We have a photographic portfolio of approximately 300 photographs documenting the various stages of work. Available for sale.
