Description: The BMW 2800 CS (E9) is a luxury sports coupé launched in 1968, marking BMW’s return to the high-end coupé segment. Featuring an elegant design by Giovanni Michelotti and a powerful M30 straight-six engine, it became the first model of the E9 series and paved the way for icons like the 3.0 CSL, establishing the brand’s reputation for both sportiness and class. It was distinguished by its well-proportioned lines, luxurious interior (often finished in leather and wood), and dynamic handling, combining refinement with performance. It was equipped with the new 2788 cc M30 straight-six engine, capable of delivering approximately 170 hp, which allowed it to exceed 200 km/h. This particular unit was first registered in 1971; its first owner was a professional footballer for Inter Milan playing in Serie A. In 2020, it was acquired by a well-known Sicilian collector who commissioned a total restoration. The gallery includes several photos of its restoration. Available for sale.
