Description:
The Alfa Romeo Giulietta is a car produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo from 1955 to 1966.
The twin-cam engine of the first version was a 4-cylinder 1,290 cc unit. Its main feature was the full light-alloy casting, hemispherical combustion chambers, and V-shaped valves controlled by two overhead camshafts driven by a chain. It delivered 50 hp and was equipped with a 4-speed manual column-mounted gear shift. In 1957, the more powerful version was introduced, named the Giulietta TI (Turismo Internazionale), featuring minor aesthetic changes to the hood—which lost the stylized arrow—the headlight bezels, and the rear lights, which were higher and recessed. Most importantly, it was equipped with a 65 hp engine. In 1961, a second restyling was carried out, which again saw aesthetic revisions to the front and rear of the car. The TI was upgraded to 74 hp (54 kW); with this new engine, it was capable of reaching a speed of 155 km/h. This specimen we are offering is a preserved example that was externally repainted about 10 years ago and still presents very well, with a patina that has its own charm. Mechanically perfect. Available for sale.
